ELM
is an umbrella organisation for all
non medical end of life care.
Our philosophy is that we can make a difference to those whose journey is taking them towards the end of their lives, through training their carers - whether professional carers or family members.
We train carers to understand all aspects of end of life care. Awareness and training is the key to a better quality of end of life.
Our book End of Life Care, the Essential Guide for Caring will be available in October 2009 (Hammersmith Press)
We believe that those who have been bereaved need to access support from the environment in order to have a healthy grieving process. We are promoting the ELM leaf emblem as an external symbol of mourning to replace the long forgotten tradition of the black armband or wearing of black. The leaf will shortly be available as a brooch or pin through our website.

"I am very happy indeed to recommend Judy for any post involving social work for the elderly. She visited shopped and organised care for my 95 year old mother during the months while my husband and I were away, with great flair, initiative and good sense. We were extremely grateful to her."
