ELM Palliative Care Workshop

The ELM Palliative Care workshop, a comprehensive non medical training course intended for all those who come into contact with the terminally ill, is a leader in its field.

The course includes:

  • The 7c’s of the Gold Standard Framework
  • Goals of Liverpool Care Pathway
  • Definition of Palliative Care
  • Background to the Hospice Movement
  • Recognising symptoms associated with End of Life
  • Stages of Grief and how they relate to End of Life (Kübler Ross Model)
  • Identifying major cultural and religious differences associated with death and care of the dying
  • Recognising ways to support care staff
  • Guidelines on communicating with families and those at the end of their life
  • Have an understanding of legal and ethical issues associated with End of Life
